Itinerary
Day 01: Mumbai
Arrival in Mumbai, on arrival transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight in the hotel in Mumbai. Afternoon half-day sightseeing tour of the city visiting Gateway of India, Colaba Causeway, St. John's Church, Prince of Wales Museum, Jehangir Art Gallery, Flora Fountain, Tower of Silence and the open-air laundry. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Mumbai - Goa
After breakfast, a full day local city tour of Mumbai covering Gateway of India, Colaba Causeway, St. John's Church, Prince of Wales Museum, Jehangir Art Gallery, Flora Fountain and Tower of Silence, later transfer to airport to board the flight to Goa. On arrival transfer to hotel. Check-in the hotel and overnight in the hotel at Goa.
Day 03: Goa
After breakfast, a full-day tour of North Goa covering the beach and other sightseeing. Overnight in the hotel Goa.
Day 04: Goa
After breakfast, a full-day tour of South Goa covering the beach and other sightseeing. Overnight in the hotel Goa.
Day 05: Goa
After breakfast, a city tour of Goa covering temples and churches. Overnight in the hotel Goa.
Day 06: Goa - Trivandrum
After breakfast, transfer to Airport to board the flight to Trivandrum. On arrival in Trivandrum also know as Thiruvananthapuram and transfer to Kovalam (16 km from Thiruvananthapuram.). On arrival at Kovalam, Check into the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Kovalam.
Day 07: Kovalam
After breakfast, a full day at the beaches of Kerala. Overnight in the hotel Kovalam.
Day 08: Kovalam
After breakfast, full day for ayurvedic massage and then at leisure in Kovalam. Overnight in the hotel Kovalam.
Day 09: Kovalam
After breakfast, a full day at the beaches of Kerala. Overnight in the hotel Kovalam.
Day 10: Kovalam - Kumarakom - 180 kms / 4/5 hrs drive
After breakfast, leave for Kumarakom, Kumarakom the charming emerald peninsula jutting into the ever-effervescent Vembanad Lake takes you into the heart of the scenic lake where you'll come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats, and canoes. The freshwater of the lake runs into the mainland making a labyrinth of lagoons, brooks, canals, and waterways. The backwater houses a variety of species of both fauna and flora. They are rich with marine life namely the exclusive 'Kumarakom Karimeen' (pearl spotted fish), Konju (tiger prawns), Njandu (crabs), Chemeen (prawns) and many more. Overnight in the hotel at Kumarakom.
Day 11: Kumarakom
After breakfast move to enjoy backwater cruise and overnight stay.
Day 12: Kumarakom - Thekkady - 120 kms / 3/4 hrs drive
After breakfast, leave for Thekkady through the cardamom hills of Idukki. Check into the hotel. Later visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the largest wildlife reserves in India, the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is more popular as a tiger reserve also visit Periyar Lake. The river Periyar is the longest river in Kerala. This is the only perennial river in South India with clean water. The river occupies an important place in the history of Kerala. In the Sangam age Tamil epics such as Chilapathikaram, ‘Akananuru’, ‘Purananuru’ etc much has been said about this mighty river, formerly known as the ‘Choorni Nadi’ or ‘Thamraparni Nadi’ (Sukasandesam –stanza 66). Evening at leisure and overnight in the hotel.
Day 13: Thekkady - Munnar - 100 kms / 3 hrs drive
After breakfast leave for Munnar, hill stations of Kerala, Munnar is famous for its manicured tea plantations and quiet colonial atmosphere. Tea Plantations and Paragliding is optional. Evening at leisure. Overnight in the hotel at Munnar.
Day 14: Munnar
After breakfast, visit the tea plantations. Paragliding is optional. Overnight at Munnar.
Day 15: Munnar - Cochin - 160 kms / 4/5 hrs drive
After breakfast, leave for Cochin. On arrival check-in the hotel. Afternoon, visit Cochin - the city of lagoons. Visit the Dutch Palace, St. Cruz Cathedral, the church of San Francisco, the Bolghatty Islands. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 16: Cochin
After breakfast, visit the tea plantations. Paragliding is optional. Overnight at Munnar.
