Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival Delhi
Arrival in Delhi. On arrival, assistance with traditional garland and Aarti Tikka (Tradition Indian welcome style) and transfer to Hotel. Day at Leisure. Overnight in the hotel in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast, a full day local city tour in Delhi covering Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Red Fort (closed on Monday), Gandhi Memorial, India Gate, Parliament House, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana. Overnight in the hotel in Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi - Amritsar by train 460 kms / 6 hrs drive
Early morning transfer to the railway station to board Shatabdi Express for Amritsar. Breakfast would be served in the train Shatabdi Express, Arrival Amritsar at 13:15 hrs. Transfer from station to the hotel. After lunch and wash and change. Visit India Pakistan border for retreat ceremony, later come back to the hotel to have dinner. After dinner, visit the Golden Temple for the night wedding ceremony of the Golden Temple. Overnight in the hotel at Amritsar.
Day 04: Amritsar Local City Tour
After breakfast local city tour of Amritsar covering the Golden Temple, Jalianwala Bagh, Durga Temple, Lal Devi Temple and Ranjit Singh Panorama Evening at leisure. Later after dinner visit to the Golden Temple for the night bedding ceremony of the Golden Temple. Overnight in the hotel at Amritsar.
Day 05: Amritsar - Jammu - Srinagar
After early breakfast, drive for Jammu airport to board the afternoon flight for Srinagar. On arrival at Srinagar Airport, transfer to houseboat. Later in the afternoon take Shikara Ride in Dal Lake. Evening at Leisure. Overnight in the hotel/houseboat at Srinagar.
Day 06: Srinagar
After breakfast, a full day local city tour of Srinagar covering Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Jama Masjid, Pir Dastir Shrine, and Sri Partap Singh Museum. Evening at leisure and overnight in houseboat/hotel at Srinagar.
Day 07: Srinagar - Gulmarg 60 kms / 2 hrs drive
After breakfast, a full-day excursion tour to Gulmarg - the 'meadow of flowers' is an apt term for this idyllic flower-laden meadow offering a spectacular view of towering snow-capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers and gigantic fir and pine trees. Visit one of the world's highest golf course. Later come back to Srinagar. Overnight in the hotel/houseboat at Srinagar.
Day 08: Srinagar - Sona marg - Kargil - 204 kms / 7 hrs drive
After breakfast, drive for Kargil en-route visit Sonamarg & visit Thajwas Glacier then drive to continue Kargil, on arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight in the hotel at Kargil.
Day 09: Kargil - Leh - 235 kms / 9 hrs drive
After early breakfast, leave for Leh en-route visit en-route visiting Alchi and Lamayuru. On arrival in Leh, Check in the hotel, overnight in the hotel in Leh.
Day 10: Leh
After breakfast, a full day local city tour covering Sankar Gompa, King's palace and local market. Later in the afternoon visit Spituk and Phyang Gompas. Later come back and overnight in the hotel.
Day 11: Leh - Pangong Lake - 140 kms / 6 hrs drive
This morning early wake up call and a full-day excursion to Pangong Lake is one of the beautiful and amazing Lakes in this region. Later come back to the hotel and overnight in the hotel at Leh.
Day 12: Leh
After early morning breakfast, leave for the sight-seeing of Shey, old summer palace with 12 feet statue of Buddha: Thikse, the superbly situated Monastery on a hilltop overlooking the village and the Indus river and Hemis Monastery the richest and the largest Monastery of the area. Later come back to the hotel and overnight in the hotel.
Day 13: Leh - Delhi or two-day extension if you want to cover Nubra Valley
Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the airport to board flight for Delhi. Later you will be transferred to the international airport or at the destination for onward jorney.
